Don't forget about the 5th Grade Transitional Meeting which will take place on Tuesday, May 16th.
Mrs. Heron (our parent support specialist) and Mrs. Shannon (our tech specialist) have been working to present at 5th Grade Transitional Meeting for parents and students, in preparation for middle school next year. This event will be scheduled for Blue Track on Tuesday, May 16th from 2:15-4:00 for Blue Track (Gym) If you have additional questions, feel free to contact Mrs. Heron ([email protected]) or Mrs. Shannon ([email protected]) via email. Our Open House will take place Tuesday, May 2nd from 5pm-6pm. Your child will be your guide for the evening and show you a few chosen assignments for this special event. I hope that you will be able to join us. . If you have any questions, please let me know.

We'll be talking about 5th Grade Science to start, then adding in more subjects as the channel grows. We're so happy to have you along for the ride with us and can't wait to get started! The 5th Grade teachers are excited to announce that Blue Track 5th grade students have an opportunity to attend a fitness & fun field trip at Rock Fitness Climbing Gym on April 6, 2017. Please see the attached flyer for further details. We are hoping for 100% attendance as we celebrate the school year! To register for the field trip, please follow these instructions.
You must complete a waiver from Rock Fitness Climbing Gym. This can be found on their website: Rock Fitness Waiver The SRA Field Trip Permission Slip should also be signed and returned to their classroom teacher by Friday, March 31st. Please Note: Only Blue Track 5th grade students can attend the field trip. This is an exclusive field trip for SRA Blue Track 5th grade students and Rock Fitness has made an agreement with SRA in terms of how many adults can attend the field trip. Thank you parents and please feel free to contact your child’s classroom teacher if you need any assistance. Take care. Sincerely, The Fifth Grade Team Hello Everyone, Our annual carnival will be held on April 21, 2017 from 3pm-7pm. We are very excited for this upcoming event as it provides not only a wonderful fundraiser opportunity for the school, but it is an event that is greatly enjoyed by SRA students and their families. Please see the attached flyer for more information. The fifth grade team, along with Mrs. Fearing's high school class, will be in charge of the Bungee Run. We are in need of parent volunteers, as well as candy/prize donations. All of your time and donations are greatly appreciated! Please send bags of fun sized candy or small toys with your child to school if you would like to donate. A Sign Up Genius has been created in order to get volunteers for the Bungee Run. Please click here to help us run the booth. Operating the booth will be fun and easy. Volunteers are asked to arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled time. Tickets will be collected and a prize given to participants upon completion. If you are interested, you may also sign up for more than one slot. If you happen to have an emergency or change in plan, please contact me directly, or Mrs. Alvarado at t[email protected] We do hope that those signing up may fulfill their commitment a we greatly count on parent volunteers. Miss Trimble’s Class Code - PGGPY Dear Families, Our class can now order books from Scholastic Reading Club online :) You can order online at scholastic.com/readingclub, where you’ll find a wide selection of quality children’s books that are just right for your child’s reading level and interests. Please note, I will not be accepting book orders or checks in class. Ordering online is the method of choice for our classes reading club. Remember, you help our class earn FREE Books and supplies with every order. I will submit this month’s order on Friday February 24th so we can take advantage of the special offers they have for the month of February. If you are planning to purchase something for your child, please do so by then. Students can choose books from the monthly flyer. The flyer for this month can be found by clicking here. If your child is interested in participating, please make sure to have cards for all of the students. There are 26 in the class. I recommend that the cards are not individually addressed, but rather, have your child sign their name on the card. It will help a lot with distribution.
