Thanks, Miss Trimble Greetings Everyone, Students are working on an essay discussing a barrier (challenge or obstacle) in their life they have experienced. They are explaining about how the faced this particular barrier and/or overcame the barrier with one or more of Jackie Robinson's Nine Values. The cool thing about this assignment is students may enter a contest through Scholastic called 2016 Breaking Barriers Contest. Students are not required to enter the contest. With your permission, if your child wishes to enter the contest, I will submit their essay online by Monday March 14th which is the submission deadline. Please just send me an email saying "I give my child permission to enter the 2016 Breaking Barriers Essay Contest. I have read through and understand the "Official Rules" and grant Christina Trimble (my child's teacher) permission to enter his/her essay online to enter the essay contest." That is all you have to do. I will take care of the rest! If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you! STEM Expo on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 9:30am -11:30am Community Visits: 9;30am - 10:30am Parent Visits: 10:30am-11:30am. Hello All,
Our new tutoring time will be Thursday mornings from 7:15am - 7:55am. In the past, I have done morning tutoring and I feel it benefits students to come in at the start of the day, well rested and ready to be tutored. To kick off our morning tutoring session, I will begin with Language Arts. As I see a need, I will switch to Math tutoring. My goal is to offer tutoring in the subject, that students are in need of most. I appreciate your understanding, as I look over tests and assess classwork when deciding between language arts and math tutoring for the weeks to come. Friday 2/12/16 we will have our Valentines Day Celebration.
Students may bring goodies to share with class and pass out Valentines Day candy, cards, etc. If students choose to pass out Valentines items for the class, please be sure there are enough for each student.. Please see the class roster below! Class Roster (Student Names & Numbers) Hello Everyone,
